The challenge

Flat aluminium composite material (ACM) cladding panels were specified for the Cooper Croydon BMW dealership as a lower cost alternative to traditional cassette panels. The aluminium facade follows a strict design style and is part of the dealership's branding, so it had to match other BMW dealerships. Fixing the flat panels by traditional methods would have left face fixings visible on the smooth aluminium finish.

The DCP solution

DCP supplied Proplast CM100, Proplast RC100 and Probuild PB200 for a concealed, bonded fixing. With no visible fixings, the panels give the smooth, clean exterior the developer wanted.
