The challenge
A commercial project at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai had serious water leaks through structural cracks in the basement. The water was under high pressure, and conventional waterproofing and other options had not worked. The work had to be done in wet conditions and at controlled cost.
The DCP solution
DCP proposed two component polyurethane (PUR) resin injection through DCP Packers. Most leaks were first controlled with cement grouting. Where water pressure was very high, Quickmast 110, a PUR water stopping foam, was injected first. Quickmast 120, a low viscosity two component PUR resin, was then injected to form a flexible film that seals active leaks permanently.

How it was applied
- Control most leaks with cement grouting.
- Drill DCP Packers at 45 degrees in a zigzag pattern along the crack.
- Where water pressure is very high, inject Quickmast 110 foam to hold the water back.
- Inject Quickmast 120 with a high pressure foot pump, starting at the areas of highest resistance in the crack.
