The challenge
Value and Budget Housing Corporation (VBHC) builds low cost housing using form based construction methods. The Vaibhava project at Kengeri has 5 blocks. Each block has open parking at ground level and 4 floors of apartments. The client wanted a high performance, single component chemical waterproofing product for the reinforced concrete terrace slabs of the towers.
The DCP solution
DCP proposed Aquathane PP500 in a product presentation to the client's VP. The client's in-house structural team vetted the product and approved it for use on the project. It met the client's need for a single component waterproofing product for the terrace slabs.

How it was applied
Aquathane PP500 was applied as a liquid waterproofing membrane to about 1500 m2 of RC terrace slab, including the upstands at the slab perimeter.
